MTV host turned Hollywood heavyweight Ruby Rose is set to return to Netflix hit Orange Is The New Black, according to Confidential’s spies on the New York set of the prison drama.
Rose, whose breakout role as inmate Stella Carlin on the Jenji Kohan series saw her skyrocket to international prominence, was last seen on the Emmy-winning series in a tiny cameo role in last year’s season four after a major role in 2015’s season three.
A character arc saw her disappear for season four, but it’s understood that Rose will reprise her role on the show in the upcoming season five, which is set to hit screens later this year.
A circumspect Rose refused to confirm she would reprise her role.
“As it stands right now, it could go either way,” she said last year.
“But they’re currently filming in New York, and I’m definitely not in New York at this exact second, so we’ll see.”
A Netflix spokesman refused to comment when contacted by Confidential.
Such has been Rose’s success from the series that she’s gone on to star in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter with Milla Jovovich and xXx: Return of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel.
Rose clearly has no plans to return to her homeland any time soon — she and girlfriend Jess Origliasso were spotted last week househunting, with the lovebirds checking out Jared Leto’s former $2 million home.
